Feb 8-15: No

“No” is not a curse word.  Despite what you may think, “no” is your secret weapon against depression.  What causes your “no” to get stuck in limbo, dear one? Can you reach inside and let this perfectly perfect word hang out with you so it can show you where your limits lie? This week, practice saying no out loud to literally everything.  From inanimate objects to the abstract all the way down to the commitments you made out of “shoulds”.  Pay attention to what happens when you let this word out of its cage.  You may discover it’s not as scary or as intimidating as you made it out to be.  “No” has power; It replenishes the soil and lets something new grow.
